“The Mulatto Albino Mosquito” is a novel about the generations that grow up in the extreme conditions of the war, about the suffering of one family during the first days of the war in BiH, about the kindness of the Other. It is also a novel about love, music, about the inexplicable strength and will of an individual to resist hatred, pathos and the role of a victim, as well as the efforts of a man to continue life with a bright face, even though in childhood he saw what was not supposed to be seen. The lyrical geography of the novel is colored by the Yugoslav culture of the seventies and eighties and Steva's endless heart, in which there is also love for the executioner. It's hard to put into words how much beauty there is in this book.
